ourhistory
When Vitangelo Puopolo migrated his family to Australia in the 1960s, he bought with him centuries-old recipes, unique to Southern Italy, and the art of traditional food making.
With his two sons, Nick and Chris, Vitangelo established Puopolo Smallgoods in 1978, and our family have been supplying authentic, first class products to the public and food service industry ever since. And now, over 30 years since the first Puopolo salami was sold, all products continue to be made using our unique blend of tradition and skill, and retain the distinctive flavours from that little corner of Italy.
Our range of premium salami products can be found in restaurants and in high-end continental delicatessens and are enjoyed by those who prefer their salami to taste like an authentic slice of Europe. Our loyal clientele include a range of Australia-wide pizza outlets, restaurants, cafes, food services distributors and manufacturers.
Puopolo Smallgoods are fully HACCP approved and we pride ourselves on providing only the highest quality products to market.
